Intended use of transformer oil pumps

Hermetic centrifugal pumps of the CTR type are designed to force the circulation of transformer oil through the oil cooler of large power transformers and can be used as circulation pumps in the system of heating the rooms of power stations with the heat contained in the transformer oil.

Advantages of CTR pumps

• CTR pumps do not require additional engine cooling.
• They have the ability to self-bleed during operation.
• However, if the pump system requires additional bleeding before starting the pump, this can be done using air vent plugs.
• The pump is designed for direct mounting on pipelines.
• It should be mounted so that the terminal box is in the lower position. The design of the pump allows the location of the connection stubs to meet this condition. The position of the discharge port in relation to the box can be adjusted every 45º
  
  

During transport and storage, it is necessary to tightly cover the pump connections with plugs. Since the pumped oil is also a cooling and lubricating factor in the engine, its absolute cleanliness is required.
